Privacy policy

BinQuotes ("we") runs binquotes.ca. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Quote requests: your name, business name, email, optional phone, postal code, the bins you need and any notes you add.
- Supplier listings: company details, contact name and email, service areas and bin types.
- Visits: only if you accept, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
- Choices on this device: we store your analytics choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again.
How we use it
To review your request and pass it to up to three suppliers that serve your area, to reply to you, and to improve the site. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Suppliers you asked to quote: up to three, only after you tick the consent box. They reply to you directly and handle your details under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting and analytics) and our email provider (Resend), which deliver the site and send email for us. Some of these process data outside Canada.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and supplier messages for up to 24 months, then we delete them unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@binquotes.ca. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top.
